  Always a pleasurable experience walking around the museum. Plenty to see on the various floors.The cafe located on the ground floor is well worth a visit too. Reasonable prices as well as comfy seating. The museum is disable friendly too Parking spaces for those with blue badges are located quite close by.

  Wear light clothing as it's very warm in there. Great exhibition on comics. Another fashion exhibition, featuring clothing from around the Preston area, was fascinating. Couldn't eat in the cafe as I'm vegetarian and there were no suitable ready made sandwiches. Staff offered to make one but didn't know if the cheese was vegetarian. Also I was a bit concerned that the sandwiches weren't refrigerated and were just in a basket in that heat.

  No public toilets, the cafe on the ground floor closes too early. Family friendly, educational, and there's something for the kids. 1st floor has a large library to study in.

  Some great temporary exhibitions on there and a lovely section of Prestons history. Beautiful building and a good art/souvenir shop.

  There is a branch of the Lancashire Library service in the Museum and also a cafe which sells hot drinks and cakes and biscuits etc.
  The Museum is right next to Preston Flag Market in the town centre of Preston.
  It is handy for all the main shops in Preston.
